Faraway Woods is an interactive podcast for early childhood (ages 4-9) that teaches pro-social skills. It’s produced by CLIMB Theatre, a national leader in educational theatre for young audiences, and funded through an Arts Learning grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
The Faraway Woods program has two components: a series of interactive audio dramas, and follow-up arts activities that teachers and parents can do with their children after they’ve listened to the podcast. Episodes are available on our website and via iTunes and Stitcher. For the best listening experience, start with episode 1 and work your way through the stories in order!
Faraway Woods comes from the imagination of playwright and CLIMB Theatre Artistic Director, Peg Wetli. Children will love traveling to the world of Faraway Woods where they’ll meet a cast of delightful characters who teach them skills like empathy, teamwork, and inviting kids to play.
